Areas of Expertise
Trauma
Psychological trauma occurs when an event is distressing enough that the brain is not able to appropriately process or make sense of the event. It interferes with the individual's ability to cope with and experience the emotions related to the event.

Psychological trauma becomes especially troublesome when it remains unresolved for months or years. It can lead to long-term anxiety, depression, difficulties regulating mood, substance abuse, or difficulties with relationships. It can leave the individual feeling lost in emotions, memories, and anxiety that won't "just go away."

Anxiety, Depression, & Mood Disorders
Anxiety, depression, and other mood disorders effect people differently at different points in their life. During the counseling process, these are examined as being the product of either environmental or biological origins, or, as in most cases, a combination. During the counseling process, thoughts and past events that contribute to these moods/disorders are explored.
Personality Disorders
Borderline Personality Disorder:
BPD is a personality disorder rooted in childhood trauma in which the individual struggles with impulse control, emotion regulation, tolerating stress, and relationships.
Antisocial Personality Disorder is a personality disorder effecting an individual's thought and behavior patterns as they relate to following acceptable societal norms in regards to rules, laws, and relationships.
About Me
Hello, and welcome to my practice! Let me start by saying thank you for checking into services, and congratulations on contemplating a new you!
A little about me: I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and my Master of Science in Mental Health and Rehabilitation Counseling. I have worked as a therapist and program manager in inpatient facilities, correctional facilities, and residential facilities. I have also worked in outpatient services. In 2018, I shifted my focus to private practice, and have also chosen to specialize in trauma-related disorders and EMDR therapy.

I grew up in Central Montana, and I proudly incorporate the values and morals that growing up on a ranch taught me. I continue to enjoy time riding horses and any time spent with my family. I also enjoy any time in the outdoors, whether it be hiking, camping, or fishing. I feel blessed to live in my native, beautiful, and one-of-a-kind state, and especially to have the opportunity to help people while doing so.
